PMR - radio communication
What do you think of being able to call your mate two kilometer down the river to tell him, that the dinner is ready ? or having the possibility of calling for help if you get lost. The use of small walkie-talkies has markedly increased during the last couple of years, and not without reason. For communicating within a radius of a few kilometers the new hand-held PMR-radios are a really good alternative to mobile-telephones ? and as there is no licence, no payment by the minute ? they are much cheaper than using the mobile phone.
